January 31 ride

#1 Post by pat juday »

We have decided to do a ride on January 31. We will take off from Pikes landing at 10 AM. The plan is to head out to the flood control project by way of Noyes slough and the Chena river. We will take the dike on the way back to pikes. Plan on bringing a lunch as we will likely stop for lunch in the flood control project. This ride is about 50 miles.

I'd ask how the ride went, but at -20 below I figured you all did what I did, hot coffee and a good book

Pat showed up to lead the ride but he was the only one there. He said the airport sign read - 20 at 0900. NOAA was reporting - 23.

oh too bad! I guess i missed him. I was at pikes just at 1000 and waited for 10 minutes or so. I found nobody there so I left. I figured that the ride got cancelled due to the temp.

Be nice if there was a club banner or club signal that one could display so people could see the leader was there at the take off. Maybe something as simple as a doo rag tied to antenna. idea needed   this not the first time a run has fizzed out because people miss each other.

:eh:
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
