The lost ride

#1 Post by john »

Well we got a good start at 3 Mile Murphy Dome road, made it to the Pipeline and then goofed, turned right when we should of turned left, hey, who knew.

Had lunch in Fox :D at the Silver Gulch, good eats anyway.

Did some ditch banging along the Haul Rd to Old Murphy Dome Rd and then found our way back.

Snow, not to good, but it was a great ride. Had a blast with everyone who showed up, oh yeah, we had 12 rides..

Things I Learned Today.

1) None of us can be as wrong as all of us - be wary of "group think" when eveyone nods "yes"

2) Hills look a lot bigger going up than they do going down.

3) We will follow a ride leader ANYWHERE (like lemings) with gusto, bravado, and sheer reckless abandonment.

4) ALWAYS take time to show your machine to kids and non-riders. We earned respect/praise for riders and our sport today - even if it was only a small circle of people related to the patrons at the Silver Gulch. :)

5) The trip is defined by the people taking part in it. I had a blast. :D

Until We Ride Again.
