Yamaha 2009 Bravo 250 Muffpot installation

#1 Post by user6244 »

Anyone here admit to having a bravo 250 have a muffpot installed? Was it possible to mount horizontal?

On first look I could see how it might fit and am think about wrapping the pipe or soldering a piece of flat copper to the pip extending a flat surface out to mount the muffpot.
I am hoping that the copper wrapped around the exhaust will grab enough heat from the pip to transfer to the muffpot bracket or heat exchanger.

Thoughts? Waste of time? Good idea? Like to get a few responses before I try it maybe someone has a better idea?

Not a 250 Bravo,

Would a large plumbers tape strap work. I assume it came with a strap with tightening *beep* unit ? I've had to go and get a larger strap for my 550 to make mine fit. I'd try that first.

Not much room to even do the copper thing. ended up placing in a 45 deg oh well just have to limit items with to much liquid.
