Meeting Minutes
1-17-2025
Opening
The meeting of the Fairbanks Snow Travelers Board Meeting was called to order at 6:24pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Cherokee Riders, 944 Cowles St, Fairbanks, AK 99701.
Present
Chris Wolter, Diane Cryer, Mike Canady, Chuck Taylor, Dan Cryer
Financial Report
None tonight
Business
1. Club Status – Melinda and Dan submitted the state paperwork and we are now reinstated as “Fairbanks Snow Travelers” (not “Inc”). They also got a business license for us. This cost $50 for the business license and $50 for the state paperwork.
2. Federal Taxes – Dan and Chris will do this soon
3. Go Winter Expo – we will consider doing it in October 2025
4. Website – Chuck is working on it. It will include a way to do payments on the website.
5. Permanent Clubhouse – a facility might be available. Are we interested? Yes
6. Membership fees – discussed various pros and cons of raising the fees
7. Rides
a. The Salchaket ride last weekend was beautiful and fun
b. This coming weekend remains open for someone to lead a ride
c. Lake Louise is full
d. MaClaren is slow to fill. Dan will post details on FB
8. Tim Schackman will continue as FB administrator
