Safety alert: During the last week several vehicles have been broken into at sites along the Elliott Highway, including the White Mountains trailhead at Wickersham Dome. Please don't leave valuables in your vehicle. Make sure you are prepared for the unexpected and that you have informed friends or family or your travel plans. (Remember -- Your trip is not really over until you've safely reached your front door!) Any emergency needs or theft-related issues should be reported to the Alaska State Troopers.
