Winter is coming. The 2012-2013 Rides Calendar will be drafted over the summer. Where would you like to go? We need suggestions for where you want to go and volunteers for ride leaders. If you are looking for a place to start, go back to the calendar in the 2011 October-November Newsletter to see what we did last year. If you are willing to lead a ride, it will almost certainly get into next year's Calendar.

Overland route, Nenana to Beaver Point Lodge, I know Tim would be glad to lead (I think ?)

From the Davidson Ditch White Mountains parking area - back into Quartz Creek trail (White Mountains). I'd say family rating. February?

Hey I guess we could do that but I don't have my drill sched for next year yet. So I can't say for sure when.

Weather permitting I can lead a ride from My cabin on CHSR road to rose bud mtm &
Spring trip Cantwell area I can lead a trip also.

I am interested in riding, but not leading the following trails:

Chena Hot Springs to Circle

The Haul road to Bettles (supposed to be a winter road - I have no details - I've never gotten the Bettles Lodge to email me back)

Over-the-top - I don't know if we want to make this an official ride or not, since it is a pay to go, etc. Should go on the ride list regardless, since the Over-the-Top group is a Business Member.

Bettles Lodge would be fun.

The route is the "Bettles-Prospect Winter Trail". Have to drive to Prospect Creek and park. From there its 30 miles or so, but would be a fun trip.

Chena Hot Springs would be easier to go from Angle Creek and take the Quest Trail from there to Circle. COS, you should know that route ?

I have been from 12 mile summit to angle creek. it is a fun atv ride

Are there any more volunteers out there who are willing to lead a ride? We still have lots of openings.

Hi ALL,
I did a 'round the Denali loop drive last weekend. Fbx to Cantwell, across the Denali to Paxson., to Delta then home in No SERVICES AT ALL>>> big bummer.

lets do this again...
on my trip i stopped in at Mcclearan lodge and saw Sue and Allen...
I was told that they are going to CLOSED in OCT. thru FEB and there will be no services at all.....

NOTICE: Maclaren Lodge will be closed from Oct 15 to Feb 20. The email will still work and we will be taking reservations for March and April and next summer.

What about Alpine Creek Lodge at mi 68 ?

Maclaren or the Trek Over the Top:

FST has scheduled a ride to Maclaren Lodge in the 1st weekend in March for several years now but the numbers have dropped significantly over the last three years. Right now we do not have a leader for that ride. Would anyone like to volunteer to coordinate and lead a ride to Maclaren on the 1st weekend in March?

As an alternative, there is a Trek Over the Top (Tok to Dawson City) scheduled for 28 February-3 March. Would someone like to coordinate and lead an FST group on the Trek?

I'd lead a ride to Maclaren! Not sure if it was put in the schedule or not. Also if needed I can lead the Cantwell rides. John the links to the schedule are not operational at this time.
