I like a foot minimum.
but its all relative to the size of the rocks in the area...

Agree with Summit, but it also depends on the sled your riding. What do you ride, with 1.5 paddle track I'm thinking its not a trail sled as it were and 9-10 inches might not be sufficient. Of course if you like to work on your sled and make repairs :) its enough.

I'd ride the Bearcat in that but not the M sled.

i ride an 07 F800, its a 128'' track, its a trail sled, has a 1.5'' ripsaw track, the track is under the "cross country" catagory, added some power and the 1'' hacksaw it came with wasnt cutting it, but good news is its snowing right now

Yeah buddy on the snow fall. Went down to Hurricane this weekend, decent snow, burned a tank of gas up :singing:

I agree with it all depends on what you ride and what type of riding you do.

1985 Tundra, I'll drive on damp grass. Summit with 1 3/4" paddle, wait until at least 8" for basic trail riding, and at least 12" for playing in the fields.
