Summit ride on April 22nd

#1 Post by Dean Allen »

Greetings,
Is anyone planning on going on the ride Saturday? I am looking at possible meeting areas and would like to get a feel for the size of the group.
Thanks
Dean

04/22 Summit Ride

Hey Tony,
Lots of options. Behind the tit. Head south through Moore Lake to Fish Creek and out towards Wolverine. Head west towards Landmark gap and play towards Mclaren via Landmark (I've never done this ride). The cut that heads east just before Phalen Creek and comes out near the foot bridge. Lots of options, kind of depends on who goes.

If you all head to McLaren you should find lots of powder to play in. I heard there is lots of deep powder going towards the McLaren Glacier.

You guys should have a blast... I have to stay in town until the 28th. The wife has spoken and we must listen :P

8) Hey Deano, we were in to Maclaren last weekend, had our DHTC Easter b-b-q and inner tube hill at 7 mile lake. Landmark Gap and 7 mile lake have a ton of snow. Looked like they were getting new stuff last night and this morning. The Denali Hiway is in the process of being plowed, the wind last weekend caused a few delays, vehicles drifted in,etc. BIG, BIG drifts, but once you got in there the riding is awesome. A little reminder, anyone planning on going in to stay at the lodge should make reservations early, they fill up fast with the good weather. Check out our link thru the Maclaren website at Piczo.com, Easter pics will be there soon.

RevitUp, how do you find the McLaren photos ??

I went to piczo.com, but just saw a bunch of photos and couldn't figure out how I got to McLarens. Do I have to sign up and then search for it ??

You could always make your own Photo Album here...

Mountaincat, that's why your loading them up :D

Summit ride 4/22

#12 Post by Dean Allen »

Greetings all,
We will be meeting at a pull out on the SOUTH end of Summit Lake. The pull out is directly across the road from a small cabin that has been there for years. We will determine our ride destination there. Currently we are planning on going east to Wolverine and Slate Creek areas.
Thanks
Dean
