Hey Snow hunters
the ride to nenana was great,
NO open water spots to speak of untill I hit a bump and made one WOO HOO !
On the way down we had a blast and john did a good job of keeping the group together it was a smoth and fast
on the way back I was the leader I wasnt able to hit warp drive on the way back ..next year !
Poor john didnt make the trip again as he blew a chain chase at the monderosa ..what timing !
last year he blew an engine on the same trip ...maybe he needs a difrent route to go there for his burger..
I was thinking of running a ride to chatinika from 10 mile CHRS Saturday the 20 th
..if there is an interest in going let me know.

Reference your ride to Chatanika. The trails up here on Cleary Summit are OK. It's been a while since I rode down the Alpha C Site road but it was OK as was the Fish Creek crossing on the trail to Chena Hot Springs Road. There had been traffic on it. I groomed from Cleary Summit down the Fairbanks Creek Road and out the Circle Trail and down the cut off to Chatanika as far as where the trail drops down to the Davidson Ditch. It's OK with some small spots down to the dirt. I'm going to ride to Chatanika today and will give a report when I return. The temperature up here right now is 43. Yeah I think i;m going to give it a try ... I;m hoping that we can park at the mercantile but if not there is a pull out on the south side of the road @ 7 mile or maybe at the gravell pit on adventure road..

Hey Tony,

The trail from Cleary Summit to Chatanika is very good. I rode to the lodge and the part I groomed from up here to just above the ditch is great. The trail down to the ditch has some dirt spots and is doable. Ronnie just called and he groomed from the lodge to the ditch this afternoon and it is good as well. Give us a report on your ride when your done. Hope you have a good one.

Hey all
sorry about the cancellation. was at the hospitai l from 630 to 330 with a gal that nailed a concrete barrier comming up the steese into town this morning. I would still like to try this ride again ,, but it wont be this weekend ..

Is there enough snow for a descent ride back to the camp grounds and maybe up the hills towards champion creek?

2 of my friends went up there and were very sorry.... nothing but a rock fest !
over heated the sleds and bent stuff ,,,not the place to go!
