There is always next time.

I thought about going on the flats ride but I have burned up one set of hyfax already this year and dont feel like eating another $40. Besides the 153" is not really any fun on the trails.

Who said anything about trails on the flats ?

Not much for a trail system except what folks make :) Lots of open fields to ride in and keep your sled cool.

I plan to go Sat or at least meet everyone there, but I'll be marking "Treasurer Hunt" locations for the 19th and need to do some exploring.

If we dont go on the club ride we are thinking about heading down to sumitt as well. There will be 3 of us on my 4 place. Any word on the conditions at the first couple of hills before you get to the tit? Last we were there it was all blown away and no snow.

Snow conditions have gotten a lot better since you went to summit. I went about 2 weeks ago and I didn't scrape rocks at all going up the first hill. There were a couple spots you could see the top of some of the bigger rocks poking through but they were easily avoided. I posted pics of the powder down at the monument under the post "20 dec summit".

If you decide to come to summit let me know. I have one other guy that wants to go but we are out of room in our trailer.

Just an update. Summit is getting snow from what I have been told.

We are leaving NP at 0630 making a stop at Eielson and will be heading out from there no later than 0715. Temps should be right around zero.

As of right now there are 15 of us going.

After reading Paul's post I wish I was going with you all.

Have a great trip and be safe. Take some pics so the rest of us can at least see what missed.
