Shane, is the 2 February ride starting at Ivory Jack's or are you moving the start again? Is it going to follow the same route as you used last March or something different this time?

I think we will start from Ivory's this year to try and mix it up alittle. I was hoping to find a good route before feb. 2 but that didn't happen,so we'll just how many trails have been cut off on saturday. I just hope 40 sled don't show up, that's alot of machines to turn around  Just remember that, at 7am if it is colder than -10 at the airport the ride WILL be canceled.

Any idea how long this ride might usually take? Is it out to Chat Lodge for lunch, then back? I have another thing at 6... Thanks!

Oh your not going to get me to guess on milage, last year the jokes and mocking were unending after i post milage for parking and the ride. Yes i am planning on making it to Chat for lunch. If you needed to be some were at 6pm it would be a close call but we should make it back to Ivory's by 4-5 pm.

P.S. no need to bring extra gas

Here's a map of the route we used for the Chatanika Poker Runs. According to my GPS its 23 miles, 4344 feet.

If the ride starts at 10:00 I probably won't make it in time. I went for a short ride yesterday on the river and didn't notice until this afternoon (10min. before all the shops closed) that I spit out my right side hyfax. The bolt head sheared off and it came out the back somewhere along the way. Northern Power Sports will be open at 9:00 and I will be there then to get a new one but I'm not sure if I can get it ready to go and be at Ivory Jacks by departure time.
If it starts later please reply and let me know. I'll check this thread in the morning before I head out.
Thanks in advance,
Brian
