Trail Ride from Cleary May 26th
Anyone up for a ride down the Mail Trail ?
I was thinking about starting at Cleary Summit and heading down the Old Mail Trail towards Eagle Summit.

That sounds like fun, but that weekend is the big mudbog ride down in delta. Not sure if anyone knows about it or not. Scott down at Polaris Junction sorta is the ring leader for that.

the event sponcered (sp) by Scott at Polaris Junction is a trail ride thru the back country.
30- 40 miles. the trail is a mix of gravel , mud bogs, climbing huge flat boulders, crossing streams
while it;s a lot a fun ,,,,,,the trail is not marked,, 2 years ago the ride started at 10am and people trickeled in
untill midnight and scott and helpers waited untill then to go look for people,,,
some were headed the wrong way along the Alaska hiway some ran outta gas ,
I was not impressed ......
but then I do this for a living and have greater expectations than most.

Yup, John M, Jim, Chuck, Don and I went. We rode to Sorrels Creek, about 50 miles RT a nice run with lots of dust. We tried to go past Sorrels Creek, farther up the valley but it started to rain and we ran into a couple creeks that were a bit tough to cross for a one day excursion so we headed back.
