Well it looks like I'm doing ride coordination this seaon, so if you have any ideas for some areas you'd like to see scheduled rides in, here's the place to let me know.
So far I'm planning on some old favorites;
1) 10Mile Merchatile (use to Skips Cache) to Chatanika Lodge
2) Winter Trail from Chena Rec to Angle Creek Lodge / Chena Hot Springs
3) White Mt. From Steese Hwy to Cache Creek Cabin (and probable beyond)
4) White Mt. From Elliot Hwy (28 mile) to Colorado Creek Cabin
No dates as yet, but I'll post them as we see how the weather goes.
Let It Snow.....

So for the rides what is the cut off Temp? We talking Sat or Sundays? If Sat and too cold do we go Sunday Afternnoon or the next weekend? So many questions so little time to ride!

I say we stay with our "historical" guidelines.
If it's colder than -10 at the airport an hour before the ride departure time, we cancel.
Of course there are always those hardcore folks that show up at -20 anyway, hoping it'll warm up
I know that last year we did a couple "really cold" rides, but heck, I live Alaska......
Move to Sun if Sat is out, hummm, we never tried that one that I can remember. But what the hay, it's worth a shot if folks are willing...

At last nights meeting one person would like to see a Pikes Chatanika run that could be done one of two ways Via Ivory Jacks and Pipeline to Chat or Chena river to Club bridge and over Iowa Dome to Chat. So many rides to do so little time.

What would be the route if it went Pikes - Ivory Jacks - Pipeliane.
Pipeline's no biggie, it's the Pikes to Ivory I'm wondering about

From Pikes head up river to Parks bridge take left after going under Bridge get on multiple use trail on east side of Parks. At Giest cross under Parks again get to Water wagon fill station (Cross from Chena Ridge Rd) find trail along parks to Sheep Creek road and Parks intersection stay on east side after crossing Parks. After crossing railroad track see trail along railroad ( Or go to Multiple use trail also goes to Ann's Railroad crossing ) to road crossing at Ann's green house stay on east side cross road see trail that lead to a bridge over Goldstream. This is the O'Conner creek trail it crosses O'Brien st and onto Prop wash Dr that take you to the back door of Ivory Jacks. After a warm up at Jacks its up Jones Road (some times trail on side of road some times not). Just before Waldhiem Dr see trail on right takes you up to old Murphy Dome road to pipeline and Chat.
