Fairbanks Snow Travelers

I've been pretty busy since I've been back from my deployment and leave and some friends of mine and I are trying to get a ride together and we don't know where to go. Everything I've seen and heard is wind blown and hard pack, we are wanting to do some good powder riding and mountain climbing but we don't know where to go. Any one know of a good place thats not that far?
