Fairbanks Snow Travelers

Anyone have a report about the snow in Maclaren Valley?

Folks that planned on spending spring break at thier Summit cabins are returning to Fairbanks!

Where to go???

Just don't know. McLaren would be good but the lodge is full for our planned ride on the 24th., so it's canceled as far as FST is concerned.

I hear Summit is also wind blown real bad. Maybe it's time to look at new territory to ride Got any ideas ??

I just talked to Allen at Maclaren. There were some cancelations. He may have White's cabin available or some of the new cabins. He is checking with the Delta club. White's sleeps eight. The new cabin sleeps up to 5 each. He thinks the Delat club is going to take the new cabins which leaves White's open. Confusing??

Bottim line: White's = $25.00 a night per head.
New cabins = $150.00 a night.

I would like a head count of who would like to go.

The snow is crusted under about an inch or two of fluff because of the warm weather they had in Jan. He is going on a ride today scouting out a new area. He is to call back any time.

Are you talking about this weekend - March 17th/18th ?? We had a run scheduled for the 24th/25th that we canceled as they are booked.
