Her husband, Sgt. John Leary just spent 16 months in Iraq. He made it home safely.
Genine Leary went to work Monday, at the Fairbanks Community Behavioral Health Center. She was killed by a patient.
We would like to help Johns family fly up from West Virginia, to be with him in his time of need.
Please make donations for Sgt Leary and his family.
Thank you for your help.

(Excerpt from Fairbanks Daily News-Miner... Vol. CIV, No. 65 Front page)
A 50-year-old Fairbanks man with a history of mental illness and violent behavior fatally stabbed a mental health worker late Monday, according to Fairbanks police.
Brian Galbraith is accused of killing Genine Holznagel-Leary by stabbing her in the back and cutting her throat outside a mental health facility on 25th Avenue shortly before 10 p.m., authorities said....
"Right now, we are all in shock," said Suzanne Price, executive director of the nonprofit, which has operated in Fairbanks for nearly 30 years. "We are all grieving the loss of a young woman who was kind, caring and compassionate. Our thoughts are with Genine’s family and friends. Our focus right now is on the health and well-being of our clients, their families and our staff."
