2008600rs -We'll be starting from Chatanika

micorps - 10 gallons should get you through the day

I called Ronnie and told him we'd be there (Chatanika Lodge) at 9:00 AM for breakfast

I'm thinking we'll either drive to McKay Creek (42 mi Steese) or leave right from the lodge and go to Crowberrry Cabin (or at least what's left of it) in the White Mtns.

The trip from the lodge to Crowberry is about 50 mile RT (http://www.snowtravelers.org/chat2crow.php)

If the snow is better at McKay Creek (or we can't cross the Chatanika River), we'll head there and head in to Richards Cabin, about 42 miles RT and maybe ride a bit beyond

Where is the ride and when do you start this Saturday. I might be running solo so will have to unload one sled.

If the spot is still open on your trailer I might have to take you up on that offer. If my wife doesnt want to go I don't want to drag my 4 place enclosed for one sled.

A group of us rode fom fairbanks to Chatanika Lodge last night. The pipeline trail was great. coming across the flats was a little bumpy but not bad. when we were at the lodge, another rider told us it was 24 plus inches out by cleary. the Nome Creek trail should be pretty good!

I had a blast, but I have to admit, for a short ride, 38 miles, I am a bit sore and it was a bit on the :brrr: side.

I uploaded the pictures I took, but dang it if I can remember who wants the one I took on trail to Pedro Dome, OK speak up and I'll email it to you.

Glad I had mine. I usually carry it, but then get into riding and forget to use it

I got most of the ride mapped out and you get a pretty nice overview of the run using the Multi-Viewer
