Next season

Your board has started work on the 2009-2010 Rides and Events Calendar. Anyone with any ideas for new rides, or suggestions on rides we should drop, please post your ideas here. Anyone out there with a ride they want to volunteer to lead? New leaders are welcome.

Really? No suggestions from anyone? Can't be!

Must be all this warm weather we are experiencing.

How's Old Murphy Dome Road, with breakfast/lunch at Hilltop? Probably a family ride, yes?

How about a ride in the Goodpasture are ?

Would you post what you have so far for 09/10 rides, might give folks a better idea on what they'd like to see dropped / added.

I have yet to ride up here so I am no help. I am more than willing to lead when I get some seat time up here.

Do what I do, get a GPS and lead on unknown trails, then your not really lost as long as you know where you are :)

That's funny. Last time I was riding in Idaho my wife kept asking if I knew where we were and I would tell her yes I am right here and you are right there. She was less than impressed. Now if she would have asked if I knew where the truck was that would have been a different story.

is it Next season or this season? LOL Might be a little late but I am more than willing to lead a ride in the cantwell area. Also maybe around the mile 36 CHSR. What does the leaders job entail? Besides being the leader LOL. Probably a really dumb question.

It is 2009-2010. At this point that has probably become "this season."

The ride leader leads the ride. :whip: He picks the route and chooses the time and place for breaks, makes sure no one gets too far behind and gets everyone back to the start point. If there are new riders, he gives a little speech on safety, trail etiquette and making sure the guy behind is still there.

I am down for leading a Cantwell ride in April. I am leading more rides than I really wanted to this winter and would be happy to hand that one off to you.
