Bonniefield Trail
Well you can tell March is here, which way to go first, to much to do and breakup is coming.
Been talking with Shawn Osborn from Ft. Wainwright.
Today he is out with a team to find a place to install a temporary bridge to get over the first open creek south of Clear Creek Butte.
3-12-15 looks like a trail cutting party so that material get be taken to the site.
3-16-15 Possible install of temporary bridge over first creek, trail cutting.
As always anyone having off these days off and would like to help out shoot me a PM with your phone number.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Re: Bonniefield Trail
Trip into the Bonnefield yesterday when well, 3 volunteers with Shawn and Dan from Ft. W. Hit the trail about 1030 or so, first ten miles where full of twisty and over hanging brush but the mission was to get out and extend the trail which the leaders did a great job of. Trail also got a lot straighter and burn not as bad (as just south of the butte). So Monday! get material in for bridges and maybe get a bridge built. Remember 930 Tesoro Cushman and Van Horn.
Think +20 temps....
Would the club spring for good reflecting trail markers?

Re: Bonniefield Trail
There is a possibility that the borough trails dept. has markers that you could get for the trail that don't cost us anything. It's worth asking.

Good turn out for material hauling to the bridge sites, 13 men and machines. Some of us went on down the trail towards the Wood River, others scouted new bridge sites, others started building the first bridge, others brushed trail and others haul in more loads of material.
This first bridge is a 30 footer and quite a sight to see it coming together and there still will be challenges to get it completely built and it place.
