Tired Iron

#1 Post by billy6384 »

Who is all going to be down at the race Saturday, either spectating or racing? I guess one of our friends from Trek over the Top Al Trettle is going to be in one of the fun runs racing and old Ski-Doo. So we are going to check it out. Maybe see some of you down there.

I'm going to go out to the Tanana or Chena Lakes to watch them fly by. My guess is they will be going through at about 11:00 AM. Probably going to be more exciting through that area than anywhere else.

Not sure I'd want to be on the ice where they finish. That river never really froze up that much and with the recent warm weather... well, lets just hope someone went out and put some holes in the ice to measure it.

Where is the refueling at?

Am I guessing right that they should be going through between 10am and 11am?

Or does the Fairbanks finish around noonish take into account refueling? So it would be more like 9-10?

The few years I was out there they were usually coming through after 10. They are only there for 1 or 2 minutes for fuel.

Enjoyed the hotdog from Crowley and watched several racers go through. Good times.
