12 guage/mount suggestions

iam looking for suggestions for hunting ptarmigan, shotgun brand/caliber..and mount,scabbard...What works or doesnt work in your expeirence???

Hey Dan,
Looks like the best place to hang a scabbard or gun boot is off the rear rack, I see a lot of them hanging there. I think that's where mine is going.
As far as caliber, I really like the .410 for ptarmigan and grouse, and #4 shot works well for bunnies. The wifey shoots a 12gage and I let her have the far shots.

The price of shotshells as it is, could be Tim is the wise one shooting the 20gage

this is what my sled has on it. I got the gun scabert and atv mount and I made a aluminum mount on my sled that bolts up under the rear bumper. I can get a better photo of it if you want. I built it for caribou hunting this year.

Good ideas, my 2014 expedition does have alot of rack back back their. I need to pick up a good scabbard and and do some experimenting.
