Don't know how good it is, but might be decent up near Eagle Summit.

Of course you'll take pictures and let us know what you find :<)

According to Ronnie at the Lodge they got a pretty good dump at Central and are riding there. That would probably include Eagle Summit if it hasn't blown away. The Steese at Eagle Summit has been closed off and on for the past few weeks because of drifting. Right now at our place on Cleary Summit its gusting to 47, Eagle will be the same or worse. Here's DOT's 511 report from yesterday afternoon. http://511.alaska.gov/alaska511/mappingcomponent

Hazardous Driving Conditions
Steese expressway from Milepost 107 to Milepost 116
Travel is not advised
Travel not advised after 4:30 pm. High winds, blowing and drifting snow. No crews working after 4:30 pm.

FAA Cam at Central: http://akweathercams.faa.gov/viewsite.p ... k=6AYBZ9JH The West Cam is looking at Eagle Summit.

Not much here at Cleary or Chatanika. I'll poke around a little bit today but will probably cancel the Chatanika Ride the 24Th if we don't get more.

Just got off the phone with buddy that drove south yesterday. Sounds like there is about foot from Clear sky south to just past Healy. Sad in Cantwell but Alpine lodge is bringing out their car and riding back to lodge on their snowgo give them a call.
So maybe Rex trail or stampede trail out of Healy, really sad around here but I'm off to Chena hot springs gas to put fresh gas in the machine i can't wait any more and forecast doesn't look good.. Will report later.

I guess your looking for a place to break in your rebuild big Dan? After riding form Nordale to CHS gas I'd go to Chena Lakes as smooth as its gone to get. Around here its rough and you need scratcher's to run the pipeline and roads where its smooth. I sure hate those handle bar whips when you hit the humps.. Maybe I need power steering?
