733 AM AKDT SAT JUN 12 2010

EASTERN ALASKA RANGE
INCLUDING...MENTASTA LAKE...BLACK RAPIDS...DONNELLY DOME...
TRIMS CAMP...EAGLE TRAIL...MINERAL LAKE


...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT SUNDAY
FOR AREAS ABOVE 3000 FEET ELEVATION...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN FAIRBANKS HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKDT
SUNDAY..

SNOW ACCUMULATION OF UP TO 12 INCHES WILL OCCUR IN AREAS ABOVE
3000 FEET ELEVATION TODAY AND TONIGHT. 4 INCHES OF NEW SNOW
HAS BEEN REPORTED AT ISABEL PASS EARLY THIS MORNING. THE
PRECIPITATION WILL BE RAIN AT LOWER ELEVATIONS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT WINTER WEATHER HAZARDS
ARE EXPECTED. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITY VERY
HAZARDOUS.

Helicopter drop off and I'm ready..

We were down at Hurricane this weekend and it rained all day, clouds cleared and lots of snow on the mountain tops above us, it was beautiful but a tad bit chilly all 3 days.
