Steese Highway mile 57

#1 Post by alaskasc »

Had a great ride today at Mile 57 steese highway. Put on about 40 miles round trip. We had a group of six all on Skidoos and the snow was excellent. Had to break a little trail up the road for some in the group, but made it throw with ease. Saw the places where the group was getting stuck last weekend. It was very easy to navigate with the sun fully out. Had to break trail into the Nome creek bridge from mile 3.2, but it was easy sailing. The new snow was about 12" deep. We tore up Nome Creek at the bridge all the way to the camp ground. Dawns machine throw a belt and took out two clicker and a ring around the upper pull, but it being a Skidoo we were able to ride it out thanks to Shawns repair skills. It was a Skidoo party!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
