The road to Nome Creek, US Creek Road at 57 Mile Steese is opened. BLM made mention that a spot or two was down to one lane, but no biggie.

FST folks will meet at the camping areas to the right (dirt road) just before the bridge. So when you get to the bridge, hang a right before crossing and drive down till you see our sign or find a spot you like. A few folks are going on Wed and Thursday, I'll be heading there Friday late afternoon.

Well this will make for an interesting weekend. We still plan to go but the camp spots are at right around 2150 feet elevation. Hum, maybe I should take the sleds as back up.
... Snow at higher elevations of the interior through Friday...

Snow will develop at elevations above 1000 feet late tonight and
Thursday. Snow will melt after it hits the ground in most areas,
but above 2000 feet of elevation snow could stick... with 2 to 4
inches of accumulation. This accumulating snow is expected to
impact the summits of the Elliott, Dalton and Steese highways and
the Richardson Highway through the Alaska Range.

A cold front in the western interior this afternoon will move
across the central interior and central Brooks range tonight,
and to the alcan border on Thursday. Cooler temperatures will
follow this front from Thursday through Friday along with periods
of snow showers above 1000 feet.
