The BLM will likely not be able to break the following trails prior to the holiday weekend: Fossil Gap, upper Fossil Creek (between Caribou Bluff and Windy Gap cabins), Cache Mountain Loop, Moose Creek, and Big Bend. Rough conditions, open water, and downed trees are to be expected on those trails.
Just so our infamous leader has a heads up for Saturday :) 42 Mile Steese starts with the McKay Creek trail and then goes to the Trail Creek or Loop, so it should be a great ride.

I'm not worried about the trial. I wonder how the road will be to get there.

What way are we going to hit the White mountains? I could 'possibly' head out early and plow some road....

Can't go again. I have to work. I'm bummed. Wouldn't have minded taking the Alpine creek lodge offer of a free room tonight and saturday night for all those who would come out and break trail. They have 5 feet of snow on the Denali Highway.

We will be there, 6 sleds, 7 people. We will meet at the Chatinika Lodge closer to 9:30. We're going to skip breakfast and stop for lunch on the way home.

Just curious if anyone has been out that way, wondering if the parking area is going to be plowed out??? You know, budget cuts and all  . They can't plow on the week days, passed 2 graders yesterday, blades up on a snowy road, but by gosh, they are out at 5 this morning around here!

Good ride great day, mid to lower 20's on the ridges and maybe down to upper teens in the valleys.

Track at http://share.findmespot.com/shared/face ... LJ4jzpcYqW

Both crossings of Champion Creek were a bit sketcky, especially the return route.

Boyd was designated as our official tree hugger for the day.

Which Spot do you have?

Mine didn't get half those hits.

What was the snow level? Any good powder riding or still a lot of brush showing?

I have the Gen 3

Snow was decent, some good areas to play in the powder on the ridges in open fields. Up to thigh off the trail
