Ride report Mar. 28th Two Rivers.

#1 Post by Stoney »

We had 11 sleds and 12 riders for this ride. We left the trailhead at a little after 10:00 am. and headed north on the trail network, on a hard packed trail. We had a few sleds overheat, but no serious problems. As the day progressed the trails softened up and there were no problems. The trail into Chena Lakes was a little bumpy, but everyone made it over to see the Moose Creek Dam. The trail over to the Potlatch cutoff was narrow, but ended up in some nice fields to play in. ( John Johnston ) posted some photos. We rode over to Jenny M. hill, and took the old logging road to Mullen Slough. It was in the 40's this day, sunny and no bugs. After we all got back to the trailhead, 10 of us headed for Two Rivers Lodge for a late lunch. WE all made it home, and thanks again to Steve for riding sweep all day. :fluffly: Stoney.

Was another good group to sweep. But as the day went on, it was evident that we need to put something together to show some of the "lesser Experienced " folks how to get out of a stuck situation.
Perhaps next year we can find 4 or 5 feet of snow and hold a training day??

Just a thought.
