Anybody Interested?

#1 Post by larry morris »

Hello FST members and guests,
I spent the 4th of July weekend at the Alpine Creek Lodge. It is a nice place. They are open all year and wonder if there is interest in an overnight trip this winter. I may also go for their New Years Eve party.

If there is interest, I can start talking to the owners. There is parking on the Cantwell side and they claim the trail is well groomed. The owner would also lead the group on some local rides as well.

Let me know

I'm always interested in new places to explore and ride, see what kind of deal they'll make us.

Jewell and I would join you also if we can pawn the girls off for the weekend. Just need to know a few months out so I can ask for those days off.

I'll be there. I go out there 2 to 3 times a winter and know Claude and Jennifer pretty well. They're great people and wonderful hosts! I know they would be interested to have our club out there. It's a easy ride and pretty well groomed most of the time. The ice overflows were somewhat bad early last year, but heavy snowfall covered that up pretty good after new years. And the back country riding is just amazing out there!
