All loaded, see you at Hilltop. It looks as it might be a little windy and chilly but a good breakfast should take care of that.

I'll be passing on breakfast for sure, and maybe the ride. My wife is downright begging (ordering?!?) me to finish working on the mustang this weekend so I can get it out of the garage. I mentioned something about this probably being the last ride of the year, but she isnt having any of it.

Still tons of snow left down on the Denali Hwy! When we were leaving the logde yesterday there was a fresh 4" to 6" on the trail and still snowing pretty good. I would expect 2 to 3 weeks left of riding down there.

Cantwell, gonna stay away from the Arctic Man crowd. See if Al is up for a ride, try to get back to that same area he took us to on the Caribou lakes weekend.

Look at http://johnstons.cc/wp-content/uploads/ ... 13371.html If you set it to US Topo (ArcGIS) you can see Deadman Lake and the valley you went down.

Run a GPS Track log if you go that way. The run past Deadman to the Denali Hwy and back would be a great loop.

Wish I could go, but have other plans for this weekend.

I'm learning how to use my gps a little better now. I set a active track on it that weekend, so I have it mapped and could get back to it. But I will check the topo for deadman lake.

That link will take you to my gps track that I recorded while we were out there. The spot at the bottom right part is where Al took us. (along with the pictures I took).
