Must be the Quartz Creek Trail that takes off by the Mt. Prindle Campground in the Nome Creek Valley. I assume you would meet at at the US Creek Road, mile 57 Steese. I'll be in Hawaii.

Thanks Chuck and Peter, that's what I thought. I might be up for leading this ride, will post after the 5th if I'll be able to or not.

I'm changing the ride title to US Creek and Steese Hwy.

OK, I'm up for leading the ride.

We'll meet at Mile 57 Steese Hwy in the parking lot.

Ride will go into Nome Creek Valley and up to Quartz Creek assuming there is sufficient snow up on top.

The snow levels on Rosebud, similar elevation, were boarderline. So we'll play it by ear on where we actually go if the snow is questionable.

John,

If its too wind blown up high you might try the Bear Creek Trail that goes to Richard's Cabin and the rolling hills west of the cabin. We've had good riding there in the past.

Thanks Chuck, that was one of the options I was thinking of. We rode it last year and was a nice run into the cabin.

So who all is planning on going on this ride ?

If there's enough folks I'd be willing to tow the kat kitchen up for a warm lunch, say burgers and hot dogs.

where you planning on towing the cooker too
the trail either way will be rough with no snow
we could eat in the parking lot or
at the cabin if no one is staying there i can check
on that
if you tow it will be slow
I don't know if my polaris can go that slow

The cabin would be a better option with the lack of snow so far this season, so if it's open let's shoot for that instead.

Great, predictions for Saturday are

SATURDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS IN THE MID TEENS.
SATURDAY NIGHT...CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF SNOW. LOWS IN THE MID

With snow on Thursday and Friday, should be a good ride.
