We will see what the weather holds. My computer says -40F. But, if it is a go, I would like everyone to bring a stick of fire wood with them. Maybe a little campfire at the bottom. Then get lost. Maybe end up in Fox.

Ah, -40 I'd bring more wood :)

NOAA Report

.FRIDAY NIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY. LOWS AROUND 25 BELOW.
.SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT...MOSTLY CLOUDY. HIGHS AROUND
20 BELOW. LOWS 25 TO 30 BELOW.

Do you have a temp and time cut off folks could check.

I usually use -10 or -20 an hour before the ride at the airport. This way we can decide if it's even worth loading up and heading out.

You might want to check out the road before a bunch of rigs pulling trailers head out that way. We've had over a foot of snow up here on Cleary Summit and are all but snowed in. I'm not complaining as all this snow is a good thing.

FYI Just checked things out on the way home from work and Gilmore has been plowed, the turnaround-parking area has also been cleared however it was never really that spacious to begin with and with all this snow it is even less spacious. Just guessing but 3,4,5 rigs w/ trailers would plug it up pretty good.

Any suggestions? Maybe along the road just before that area. That way we can use it to turn around

That's probably doable, snow wasn't pushed way back, but enough I think.

Currently it is 5 below up here on Cleary Summit and no wind. With all this snow it should be great riding up here. I wouldn't know as I have spent the last two days digging out. You can check the weather at the RWIS Site up here:

I was thinking one or two sticks per person. We will take it to the bottom of the hill where there is a fire ring. From there we will get lost finding a way to Chena lakes and stop and have a fire on the way back. The trip is not to long and Stoney says he has a way to get there. Or, we end up in Fox.
