As much as I'd like to go to the White Mountains, I told the G-daughter I'd take her out to Chena Lakes and ride around the Floodway. Might hit the Winter Trail a bit.

The G-daughter canceled out on me,so I'm thinking 57 Mile Elliott might be the place to go. Should still have decent snow left up there.

Hilltop at 8:00 for breakfast and onto 57 mile after.

Great plan! Meet you there at Hilltop at 8am. Have been riding Summit area and it's awesome this year, not being able to take the whole weekend as its Easter, this is by far the next best thing. With all the snow it could be even better. Have heard the Elliot side of the Whites are fantastic right now.

From BLM
Colorado Creek Trail has not been groomed since the last significant storm. However, this part of the White Mountains received only about 3 or 4 inches of new snow in that event, so conditions are likely decent. Expect drifting before Colorado Creek Cabin.

Thinking we go to Colorado Cr Cabin, then South to Borealis-LeFevre cabin, then North-East towards Windy Gap and either take the Fossil Cr trail or go on to Windy Gap cabin and then back to the rigs.

Should make a nice loop of about 77 miles depending on what route we take.

No doubt on MacLaren, but I said "local" ride.

We just didn't have to drive so far to get there. :)

You all get any good pictures to share ?

David,

Be questionable if the temps stay warm, but you might get another day in. I wouldn't go as far back as we did, once you start gaining elevation the snow will likely be gone, but only one way to know for sure :<)
