Ester Trail fight still going

#1 Post by mit »

The Snow Travelers have supported this legal battle with our money in the past.

A short re-cap… the Ester Valley Road is still blocked by a locked gate at the entrance and I'm continuing litigation against Max Largent to enforce a public right-of-way. His numerous motions for summary judgment, including an appeal to the Supreme Court, have been denied.

Unfortunately, no trial date has been set so I will be filing a preliminary injunction to restore access before winter sets in. Cost for this is estimated from $5,000-$10,000, and while an outcome is always uncertain, we are hopeful that the injunction will be granted. I see no other way to gain access in a timely fashion.

I greatly appreciate your financial support in this effort. Send donations payable to Law Offices William Satterberg, 709 4th Avenue, Fairbanks, AK 99701-4416. Write fbo Ester Trails Defense on the “memo” line and cc me so I can track the funding (p.s. They take credit/debit cards, unfortunately, no PayPal, phone 907.452.4454). If you have any questions, want more information, give me a call or drop me an email.

Thanks all,

Geoff
