December 1 at 6 PM at the Palmer Library (across RR tracks from downtown) BLM is looking at management plans for areas in the Glenn Allen and Denali Hiway area. Their current opinion is that the public wants these areas restricted to motorized access.
The largest piece of affected land is along the Denali Hiway- stretching 5 miles both sides of the road. In effect - the resrictions they put in place will effect all access to the interior section of Alaska.
Show up to the meeting to voice your desire to be able to continue having access to this large area of the state.
If you have any questions, email me at merickson@alaska.com.

My Comment to Bruce Rogers was:
Why is BLM not including the Fairbanks area for a public hearing ??
Lot's of folks from the Interior also use this area for recreation.
So I assume that since Interior residents are not being included in the public hearing process, that our opinion is unwanted or would be considered irrelevant.
