Oops day

#1 Post by john »

Well shoot, I goofed but will get it all back.

Doing some site updating / maintenance and kind of crashed it :wall:

So, I may have to remove the Front page for a day, but you'll still get the Forum till I get it back.

Sorry for the hassle

looks like you got it fixed for the most part. I still have to log in every time though. It wont remember my password and log on.

2 Separate issues.

1. Nope not done, I was just waiting till I have a few hours of free time I could devote to it (the fix you see is temporary). Maybe tomorrow. I'll shut down the site, remove some code, recode it and reopen the site. Hopefully no more than 2 to 3 hours, just need to get a block of 3 hours without interruption.

2. Login maybe be related to your browser. You have to have "cookies" enabled for it to remember your login info. I log on each time and don't allow the site's cookies to remember me, this is a security issue more than anything else and a personal choice.

Check you browser settings, each is different. PM me if you have questions on it.

I'm having the same problem John, up to a day or two ago the site was automatically logging me in. I have cookies enabled and the other sites I visit log me in with out a problem. I tell it to remember me every time I log in but it doesn't anymore.

I was wrong about it logging me in. I followed the link in the notice the site sent me about a new post and it took me to it. I just now brought up the site from scratch and it gave me the log in page. Sorry about the confusion..........
