How far up the yukon did you go and how was the trail? What was the worst part of the trail this year on your travels? Maybe you could tell us where each of the above pic where taken? Great shots.

Re: Photos of the Yukon Quest Trail 2009
Mit,
I've been at Mile 101 since Sunday afternoon. Hope to leave by Friday. (Last musher must reach Twin Bears before we go)
Darell,
I started with 2 others race day from Whitehorse (14 Feb). The trail was the best it has been in years! Lots of snow in Canada. Eagle, Alaska was pretty dry. Worst part of trail was 32 miles down stream of Eagle on the Yukon river. Rode 900 miles. Put on 30 miles grooming the City airstrip in Eagle.
Pics..........................................
#1 King Solamon Dome, Canada. 25 miles south of Dawson.
#2 Canada, 100 miles from Pelly crossing near Stewart river.
#3 Canada, 50 miles from Whitehorse. Yukon river in back ground.
#4 Overland trail near Eagle. (trap line)
#5 Y.Q. river downstream of Eagle.
#6 Y.Q. river again.
#7 Eagle Summit.
#8 Y.Q. river.

Re: Photos of the Yukon Quest Trail 2009
I was thinking I would fire up the Wretched Wind Wagon and fly up to 101 on Saturday. If you come in on Friday call me and let me know your back. We made it in to moose camp and here is a pic of the load to the cabin.
