River to Nenana

Rode to nenana today. River was good most of the way. A couple of bumpy spots and a spot or two with a sink hole but easy to get around. Just before Nenana there was a good stretch wind blown down to ice and was a little freaky but ice was plenty thick and no water anywhere. All in all, nice weather and good company. Good burger at monderosa to!

Thanks for the update XPX, that stretch at Nenana is always like that, makes one a bit nervous the first time you ride it...

But its good to know our Sweetheart run on Feb 15th (Sunday) will be a good ride as usual.

No problem. It was a little scary for sure. We cutt a bunch of it out by going down 9th instead of the river when heading back and it seemed much less scary the second time!

Yeah, it is nice bypassing it, but the ice is really thick, its just the visually appearance of all that ice and no snow.

Was in Nenana today and there was snow on the river again! Until the wind blows it away that is!
