Article 8. Chena River State Recreation Area
11 AAC 20.480 is amended to read:
11 AAC 20.480. Snowmobiles [SNOW VEHICLES] If the director finds that the
snow depth is adequate to protect underlying vegetation, the director shall post the Chena
River Recreation Area as open to the use of snowmobiles [SNOW VEHICLES] in all
areas north of Chena River, west of the south fork valley, and north of the east fork valley.

Curious that they didn't define the depth of snow required for the rec area to be opened, its simply left to the discreation of the Director. So if this passes, which I'm sure it will, Chena Rec Area will be closed snowmobiling until the director declares it open.
