Ride of your life

#1 Post by Maclaren River Lodge »

HEY, HEY, HEY!!!!!!

After some major difficulties, we are back on line! It all had to do with a metor hitting the Starband satellite and knocking it out of service for a while. All is good now so we have communication again. Sorry to those of you that have been emailing us, your emails are probably in a galaxy far, far away. We will be responding to those that we did receive.

We have gotten a ton of snow since our last report. It snowed everyday last week. This followed a severe wind storm on Sunday, the 27th. Our holiday guests traveled together to get over the Summit and all made it ok. As you can see from the attached photos, the "Beast" is working overtime, as is Alan trying to keep the deck clear. Grooming and staking will be the priority this week to clear drifts and mark bypasses and trails.
Even without the grooming this past week, the trail is in great shape!!! Lakes are frozen over, the river has seen it's first plane land of the season. RIDING IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO ONE has had a problem finding the powder, no matter which way they leave from the Lodge.
As several repeat costumers have told us, "The snow has not been this deep in years!"
The perfect snow, the perfect base, frozen lakes and rivers, and the perfect temps to ride in:

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON!!!!!! YOU ARE MISSING THE BEST RIDING IN ALASKA!!!!!!

See ya soon!
