Alaska Pilots – Please take PIREP Survey

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Division of Statewide Aviation encourages Alaska pilots to participate in a Pilot Reporting (PIREP) national survey being conducted by Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The information collected will assist AOPA as they work to improve the PIREP system.

This link will take you to a blog post about the survey, and Alaska specific information on Pilot Reports: http://blog.aopa.org/vfr/?p=2770 The survey will close in 2 weeks and takes about five minutes to complete. For more information please contact the Alaska AOPA Representative, Tom George, at Tom.George@aopa.org

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities oversees 254 airports, 11 ferries serving 35 communities, 5,619 miles of highway and 720 public facilities throughout the state of Alaska. The mission of the department is to “Keep Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure.”
