Memorial Weekend Geocache Hunt

#1 Post by john »

So you want to learn how to use your GPS a bit better and not get lost :<)

Here's you chance to get some practice in and maybe win some goodies.

On Sunday (May 27th) were going to have a Geo-Hunt for all members at the weekend BBQ.

The hunt will commence at 9:00 AM and go until the BBQ starts at 4:00 PM. That gives you 7 hours to find all four caches.

Each cache will have a number of sealed envelopes in them, all you do is find the cache, take an envelop and go to the next one.

At the BBQ we will open the envelops and see who wins what. Should be a prize for ever participant and prize selection is based on the hand you get.

So yup, the envelopes contain cards. Just remember, you "can not" open the envelop until the 4:00 BBQ starts and at the designated card table, any opened envelops will be consider a card "up the sleeve" and discarded from your hand.

Maps giving the Long and Lat of the Caches will be provided Sunday to assist you in your find.

So bring your GPS and join us for the Sunday Cook out.

Larry,

No GPS, think its time for an early birthday present :)

How many others plan to partake in the hunt, would help to know how many envelops need to be stuffed and # of maps.

Very interesting geocache, learned some about GPS' and had a great time. I had the worst hand. Now you know why I do not play the lottery. Wet, cold and, sore; had a great day. Its good to still be a teenager.
