More Maclaren

#1 Post by cleary »

Went to Maclaren on the Wed. the 10th and returned on the Sun. the 14th.

Tommy got their webcam working. Check it out at www.maclarenlodge.com

There is now an FAA Weather Cam at McCollum, just north of Summit Lake. It is called Isabel Pass. Find it in the southeastern section of the FAA site http://akweathercams.faa.gov/

You can find NOAA Weather for Paxson at http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/PAXK.html

and Cantwell http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/PATW.html

Next month NOAA is putting in a weather station at Maclaren.

As usual we had a great time. Went 4-wheeling and one day Allen took us and our canoe up Boulder Creek with a river boat and dropped us off. We had a great float back to the lodge. Susie's meals at the lodge were super. They also have free wireless internet at the lodge. It's high speed as they use Starband. Just take your laptop equipped for wireless and surf away.

Will send John some phtotos soon.

:D Chuck :D

I look forward to getting the pictures :<)...

Be a nice change to see what the terrain looks like when it's green, instead of white :D
