Avalanche Level 1 course

#1 Post by john » Wed Mar 01, 2017 7:34 am

Just putting this out there in case any of you are looking for an AIARE 1
course for the purpose of snowmachining. We have a course that we're
trying to fill--we just need three more participants to hold it. Sorry for clogging your inbox if this is not something that interests you.

The Alaska Avalanche Information Center will be holding an Avalanche Level
1 course from March 6th-March 8th (Monday-Wednesday) at Black Rapids. This course will be slightly different from the March 3rd-March 5th course (also at Black Rapids) because it will be oriented towards snowmachiners and will have a bit more emphasis on professional search and rescue than a regular Avy 1 course.

The cost is $375 and one may use this link to register:

Any questions contact jmzechmann@gmail.com.

Best,

Jenna
