Eastern Alaska Range Avalanche Center

#1 Post by john »

Do you work or play in the mountains during winter? A lot of Alaskans do. A big part of accident prevention is preparing yourself with the tools necessary to make critical decisions, especially when trying to prevent avalanche accidents. A great way to brush up on your avalanche skills or learn them for the first time is to participate in a class. This winter we will again be offering an awareness clinic, October 29 (9a-5p). We'll cover planning and preparing, terrain evaluation and companion rescue. Brought to you in partnership with the Eastern Alaska Range Avalanche Center. Students: $32, Public $50. Sign-up at Outdoor Adventures in person or over the phone. 474-6027.
