We had a good turnout at the meeting again. One item we talked about was the Rondy, we have had to swap the date with the Beaverpoint Lodge ride. The Rondy will be held on March 6th and the ride will be March 13-14, providing there is snow for the ride. If you still want to sign up for the ride, the deadline has been extended to next months meeting.
We have planned to have a pig roast at the Rondy as well and will be looking for some help with the cooking duties as "Chef John" will be busy with the drag races, now known as "Race Marshall John". We will be needing some volunteer help for other events too. Craig Compeau talked to us about the plans for this years Tired Iron, John gave an update on the Iron Dog, still looking for volunteer help for both.
Our guest speakers were from the Steese Volunteer Fire Dept. They brought in the packs they use on rescues and gave a presentation of the equipment they use. They will be joining us at the Rondy again this year. Thanks again to SVFD for your support of the club!
Just a reminder, we will be doing the election at the February meeting. There will be ballots in the newsletter as well as at the meeting. At this time we have 2 people nominated for the board, Steve Enoch and Matt Turner, as well as the current board members. Be sure to cast your vote!
