Bonnifield trail bridges

#1 Post by john »

This YouTube video was produced by the Salcha/Delta Soil and Water Conservation District. This is a video of one of the Bonnifield trail bridge installations they did last winter. The bridges were manufactured by Rolling Barge. It has some PR / advertisement mixed in, but a good watch to see how they installed the bridge(s) on the trail in the Flats.

Maybe a club run next winter to the Wood River?

I think we should put it on the ride list.

I wonder how they will make it though breakups and summer high rain years. Time will tell.

Break up will be a test but big trees only on the second crossing. first crossing issue was, didn't freeze unless it was 40 below. The bigger issue, trail clearing and making it straighter. :sled:
I see someday a club ride to the clear sky for steak and beer via this trail . :supperhappy:

Did you get one of those maps that Paul had copied? I think Stoney still has some we where giving them away as raffle prizes last year. I also flew over the trail during break up this year and took some pictures of the one I saw. Posted to my facebook page.
