TRAIL SESSION: There is to be a discussion and presentation about the newly "rehabilitated" fire line near Two Rivers and a proposed new multiple-use trail Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Department of Natural Resources conference room at 3700 Airport Way. The proposed trail is on a ridge above Colorado Creek in the Chena River Recreation Area.

Special Trail Presentation with Alaska State Parks

On Wednesday, September 21 st, 2005, at 7:30 PM , the Citizen Advisory Board for Northern Area Alaska State Parks invites you to join them for a brief presentation followed by an open discussion of the newly rehabilitated fire control line near Two Rivers and the proposed new multiple use trail along the ridge above Colorado Creek in the Chena River State Recreation Area. The meeting will take place in the Department of Natural Resources large conference room located at 3700 Airport Way.

There will be a short slide show with photos of the fire control line, and a representative from the Division of Forestry and from the Department’s Lands Section will be available to answer questions about the rehabilitation efforts that occurred this summer.

Alaska State Parks staff will also be presenting information about a newly-funded multiple-use trail proposed for construction along the Colorado Creek ridgeline to connect with the fire line. A representative from the State Park office of Design & Construction will attend.

The public is welcome to attend the citizen advisory board meeting scheduled at the same location from 5:30 – 7:00 PM . For more information, call the State Park Office at 451-2695. Questions may also be e-mail to Anna_Plager@dnr.state.ak.us, Park Superintendent.
