Sat 3/24/07 GeoCache Run

#1 Post by john »

GeoCache run was excellent. Found and logged my first cache, Clear Creek Butte Cache, it was a beautiful day. The trails were in excellent shape and haven't been used much at all.

We clocked 88 miles, or at least those of us who drove out from Chena Lake Rec did anyway. The worst part of the ride was on the TananaDike between North Pole and Fairbanks. The Tanana south of the Chena was good but don't go towards Delta, lots of open water and thin ice, not fun.

On the flats the trails were smooth and there are lots of open fields with untouched powder to ride on.
