Thanks Heather, I saw this yesterday on YouTube and was looking for it again this morning.

Goes to show you that it doesn't take much to get buried. Of course the guy who rode his sled "above" the guy who got buried and was walking down the hill should take an avalanche course and remember not to ride above someone who's stuck.

Some lucky boys there. I also thought this was interesting
anything sliding that's bigger than you is considered an avalanche

the size of the avalanche and resultant destructive force are used as ratings to describe it...

this particular avalanche was a moderate D2 slide because it could bury a person.

You can check up on the American Avalanche Association for details, but it basically goes like this:

D1 Mostly harmless

D2 Can bury a person

D3 Can bury a car

D4 Can destroy a building

D5 Can destroy a town
