Three calls reporting the overdue travelers came in between about 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Troopers found one couple — Martha Lacher and her husband, who troopers did not name — on a trail near Haystack Mountain at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. They found another couple, Linda Dominick and Stephen Davis, at a cabin shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers and BLM rangers found the third couple, Jonathon and Elizabeth Jachim, on a trail at about 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Troopers said all might have suffered some frostbite and experienced early stages of hypothermia.
